KIIT University in a short span of time has emerged as a leading educational institution in the country. With the same hope KIIT School of Law was established in 2007. It gives me immense satisfaction to say that the KIIT School of Law has also shown phenomenal growth and has earned for itself respectability in legal circles of the country.

KIIT School of Law has attracted attention of legal luminaries from all over the world. Those who have visited here in recent times include sitting Judges of the Supreme Court of India - Hon’ble Mr. Justice Altamas Kabir, Hon’ble Mr. Justice A. K. Patnaik, Hon’ble Mr. Justice R. V. Raveendran and Hon’ble Mr. Justice P. Sathasivam. KSOL also had the privilege to host Rt. Hon Lord Nicholas Addison Phillips, President (Chief Justice) of the Supreme Court of the U.K. and Rt. Hon Lord Anthony Peter Clarke, Justice of the Supreme Court of U.K.

Six former Chief Justices of India namely Hon'ble Mr. Justice P. N. Bhagawati, Hon'ble Mr. Justice Ranganath Mishra, Hon'ble Mr. Justice G. B. Pattnaik, Hon'ble Mr. Justice M. M. Punchhi, Hon'ble Mr. Justice R. C. Lahoti and Hon'ble Mr. Justice J. S. Verma have visited KIIT School of Law and interacted with the students and faculty members. Judges of Orissa High Court, Hon’ble Mr. Justice B. P. Das, Hon’ble Mr. Justice L. Mohapatra, Hon’ble Mr. Justice M. M. Das, Hon’ble Mr. Justice Mr. H. S. Bhalla and Hon’ble Mr. Justice B. K. Misra have graced various deliberations and events organized by KSOL during different times. Students of the School also had the benefit of interacting with eminent lawyers like Mr. Fali S. Nariman, Mr. Ram Jethmalani, Mr. Gopal Subramanium and Ms. Pinky Anand.

Several professors and lawyers from U.S. and U.K. regularly conduct classes at the KIIT School of Law; such as, Mr. Bruce Weitzman, USA, who was formerly at the Harvard Law School, Ms. April Faye Tayag Manalang from University of Chicago and Prof. Elinor Gadon of Brandeis University, USA. Lord Justice Mark Oliver Saville, Former Judge, Supreme Court of UK, Prof. Kirchhoff, Secretary General, World Society of Victimology and Dr. Ludwig Weber, Institute of Airspace Law, Montreal, Canada have visited and graced the School of Law. Prof. Martin J. Hunter, Nottingham Law School, UK and Lord Charles Falconer, former Lord Chancellor of England are closely associated with the School.
