KIIT School of Law organises Justice Y. V. Chandrachud Memorial Lecture in the memory of Justice Y. V. Chandrachud, former Chief Justice of India, who remained Chief Justice of India for almost 7 years. Hon'ble Mr. Justice Arijit Pasayat, Former Judge Supreme Court of India inaugurated the event in the presence of Prof. Moolchand Sharma, the then Vice-Chairman, University Grant Commission (UGC), New Delhi & Dr. A. Samanta, Founder, KIIT & KISS .

2nd Justice Y. V. Chandrachud Memorial Lecture
The Second Justice Y. V. Chandrachud Memorial Lecture on “Social Justice under Indian Constitution” was inaugurated by His Excellency, The Governor of Orissa, Shri M. C. Bhandare in the presence of Hon'ble Mr. Justice R. C. Lahoti, Former Chief Justice of India, Hon'ble Mr. Justice I. M. Quddusi, (then) Acting Chief Justice of Orissa High Court and Prof. Faizan Mustafa, Advisor, KIIT School of Law & Vice–Chancellor, National Law University, Orissa on 13th September, 2009. Delivering the lecture Hon'ble Mr. Justice R. C. Lahoti said that social justice, equality and political freedom is every Indian’s right that has been enshrined in the Constitution. Justice Chandrachud had emphasized this all his life.

H.M.Seervai Memorial Lecture
H. M. Seervai Memorial Lecture is organised annually by KIIT School of Law. The First H. M. Seervai Memorial Lecture was delivered at KIIT School of Law by Hon'ble Mr. Justice S. B. Sinha, Judge, Supreme Court of India on 20th September 2008. The lecture ceremony was inaugurated by Hon'ble Chief Justice of Orissa (then), Dr. B. S. Chauhan in the presence of Mr. Biswabhusan Harichandan, (then) Hon'ble Minister of Law, Industries and Rural Development, Orissa, Hon'ble Mr. Justice Madan P. Lokur, Judge, Delhi High Court and Dr. A. Samanta, Founder KIIT & KISS. Hon'ble Dr. Justice B. S. Chauhan outlined the works of the eminent legal luminary H. M. Seervai, who is well known for his 1967 analysis of the Constitutional Law of India. His work contributed significantly to the Kesavananda Bharati vs. The State of Kerala case (1973), which inhibits politically motivated changes to the Constitution of India, he said.

H.R.Khanna Memorial Lecture
H. R. Khanna Memorial Lecture is an annual lecture at KIIT School of Law. The First H. R. Khanna Memorial Lecture on "Legal and Political Processes in Modern Indian Democracy" was inaugurated by Hon'ble Chief Justice of Orissa (then), Dr. B.S. Chauhan in the presence of Hon'ble Mr. Justice Ranganatha Mishra, former Chief Justice of Supreme Court and Dr. A. Samanta, Founder, KIIT & KISS on 19th July 2008. Mr. Gopal Subramanium, (then) Additional Solicitor- General of India delivered the lecture. Inaugurating the event, Hon'ble Dr. Justice B.S. Chauhan outlined the focus of the lecture on the eminent legal luminary like H. R. Khanna. Recalling his contributions to the Constitution, Dr. Chauhan said that he raised his voice during the period of emergency. Hon'ble Mr. Justice Ranganatha Mishra presided over the lecture.
